WOW!

I stepped into Kohl's today to return some stainless steel canisters for Bryan. Happened to be kid-less so I walked around for a little while. Very surprised to see such good stuff. The Simply Vera Wang line and ELLE line is great and totally fashion forward! I give it two thumbs up! Check it out online or in your local store. They are always having sales and coupons so these items are certainly not spendy.

slight obsession

I used to wear platforms, heals or wedges everyday. Being 5'1" I need all the help I can get. But as of lately my back has been hurting from lifting kids all day. I also walk to school to pick up kids so I need a shoe that is comfortable but stylish. I have started to save my higher shoes for night's out and church only. The top metallic pair of Top Siders I got beginning of the spring. They are pretty much my everyday shoe and are thrashed now. Last week I invested in the second show. The black with gold studs. I am excited to start wearing these almost daily now. I found this last pair made of patent leather online today and think they are pretty amazing. These all run around $80-$90 but are well worth the investment. You can pretty much find them anywhere now but to see them online try Nordstrom, Sperry Top Siders or Piperlime. This is my testimony of the Top Sider. And I am sticking to it!

Who knew?

Who knew Land's End actually has a pretty decent line out called "Canvas". It is very simple but I am really loving simple these days. The top picture is an elbow tee for $12.99 that comes in a few different colors. Elbow tees are my favorite! The bottom picture is a cute braided suede wrap bracelet on sale for $5.99. It comes in several different colors and is a fall must have. There are a few more good items on their site including the cream sweater vest and cream rope anchor belt. Black riding pants

Although these are not called "riding pants" I call them my "riding pants". I think they look and fit like them. You can't really tell from this picture but they are made out of a nice, thick material. Combo rayon, nylon, spandex. I love them SO much that I have worn them three days in a row. They are the BEST! So comfortable and can be dressed up or down. To me... nothing is better than something you can wear a t-shirt and sweatshirt with during the day and then throw a blouse and a pair of heels come night and transform the look completely! A black dress

Why do I love a plain black dress so much? I think it's because whenever I have somewhere nice to go... I feel like there is SO much to do with it. And I also feel like no matter how I am feeling that day, black is always slimming! This one isn't my favorite dress I have ever seen. Although I do think it is SUPER fun! Straight leg levi's

These straight leg levi's with slight distressing (I love me some distressing) are at Costco right now for $17.49! I had been looking for a pair like this and not wanting to spend a lot. They fit great because they have stretch in them! Run don't walk to go get a pair because we all know how fast things go at Costco! And I don't think this picture does them the justice they deserve!

Found this little tee on Nordstrom.com today and think I'm in love! Love it's simplicity with a slight twist. And it's on sale right now which is even better. Would look great with jean shorts (I like the model's look), jeans or even tucked into a skirt. Great piece for fall!

back to the basics

I feel so strongly that a simple pair of cowboy boots are timeless and always in style. I LOVE to wear mine over jeans and with skirts and dresses. It adds a more relaxed look to an outfit. I love these from Old Navy. I think the distressed color is great and am loving the mid length too. This is one of the more plain pair of boots I have seen. It makes for such a clean look.
